It is almost Christmas! And while I have not been active on the website, I have been extremely busy preparing for two Fall 2019 shows: The Church of the Magdalen Bazaar on November 2nd and the Fall Artisan Festival on November 9th.
If you haven’t heard about my Christmas clay nativity scenes and other artwork yet, you’ll just have to check it out at one of the craft shows or on my website’s Shop page! Each Christmas nativity is handmade with love and features Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus clay figurines. I have large nativity scenes as well as a mini manger set or even a cute nativity ornament for your Christmas tree! When ordering, you can choose a custom skin tone or order my Southwestern Nativity scene complete with “terra cotta pot,” clay rocks & cactus / other plant material.
Along with my hand crafted clay manger line up, I have added some new original items including a polymer clay kit where your child can make their own baby Jesus in a manger ornament. We made these at my granddaughter’s school last year and it was really fun. If you like doing craft projects with your kids or grandkids and want something unique for the perfect Christmas gift, you’ll want to order one of these kits! I hope to add a video demonstrating just how to make it soon!
If you are on Facebook, here’s a heads up! I will be running a contest between both craft shows on Facebook at ShariLynn Art so be sure to check it out. Details for the contest will be posted on Facebook sometime closer to the first show on November 2 – be watching for more details! (And if you are not a Facebook user, you can still enter the contest while attending either show above.)
I hope you can drop by and visit – see you at the shows!

If you’re looking for last-minute Christmas gift ideas, please join me, Shari Hobbs, for the third annual Christmas Artisan Market this Saturday, December 8th! This awesome Market is a great way for you to connect with local crafters, artists, and vendors. The Christmas Artisan Market will run from 9 am to 3 pm at East Heights United Methodist Church 4407 E. Douglas in College Hill. Here’s a link for more info about the Market.
I love sharing my unique nativity sets for sale at this location because my grandmother attended this church. I was even present when they finished the basement (before the sanctuary was finished) and we held a candlelight service there for Christmas. That was a few years ago, though! In addition, when I was in college at WSU, I sold crafts at the French Market.
Fast forward to today…East Heights United Methodist Church is still a great place to get in the holiday spirit. Why, you ask? Well, if you’re looking for awesome Christmas gift ideas for that person who’s got everything, you don’t want to miss out on their annual Christmas Artisan Market on December 8th!
The Market will feature more than 45 vendors with a wide variety of local, handmade artisan gifts. In addition, you will be able to enjoy delicious food by the East Heights youth group. To top it off, you won’t need to pay anything to browse…the entry / admission fee is FREE!
